On March 28, 2014, TTG’s IP Team (Intellectual Property Team) Inauguration & IP Training Session was formally held in CIC International Business Centre. Present at the event were TTG’s chairman Mr. Xiong Kemiao, heads of departments, three leading experts in the IP field invited as advisors.

During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Xiong first issued the letters of appointment to three expert advisors and announced the foundation of TTG’s IP Team, consisted of team leader Ms. Yang Jian, assistant team leaders Ms. Gao Qiuju and Mr. Xiong Kai, three experts and another eight members. After that, Mr. Xiong made a speech, indicating that IP would be an important task in the future development of TTG. The emphasis should be on developing project brands with TTG’s own IP, expanding the IP team, promoting the implementation of TTG’s IP strategies, improving the staff’s ability of IP creation, application, protection and management, and on accelerating the pace of technological innovation, which required for professional and careful work by the IP team.

In the afternoon training session, the experts systematically introduced the importance of IP in modern enterprises, especially in modern hi-tech enterprises, from the aspects of IP law, patent protection, technical disclosure of patent, principles of patent examination and development trend, providing advice for the staff of TTG how to study, create and apply IP in future work, thereby laying a good foundation for the creation of TTG’s IP brand.
